Good sam insurance was much more expensive than Geico

Question

We had good sam vehicle insurance a couple years ago on our wbgo view. We even switch our other 2 daily driver cars to good sam also for the discount.

We sold that RV in 2012 and bought another one this year. Called good sam and found they were way more expensive than geico with the same coverages.. I ended up moving all insurance to geico.

As with any ins. it's going to be more for some and less for others.It pays to shop around.

Wait till after your first year with GEICO. It will change significantly. They suck you in up front then get you back on track the following year.

The proof an insurance company is when you make a claim , that is why I stick with ProgressiveReally fast claim service and no BS

There is really no such thing as Good Sam Insurance. They are a brokerage. The insurance they underwrite through falls under companies like National General (formerly GMAC), Allied and etc. They automatically quote you through National General because they pay the highest commisions to Good Sam. We asked to be quoted through Allied (Nationwide Company) and they were about half the price of NG. A coworker did the same thing and got the same results.
