Nice thought/idea

"Investing" in a lifetime membership to the Good Sam Club is not wise for the following reasons:
1. The annual membership is so low that any savings realized is minimal at best.
2. How long will one actually use the benefits? Health and family issues change quickly and would eliminate any savings when one quits RVing.
3. The Good Sam Club is a for profit enterprise that sole purpose is to enrich the owners of the club. Therefore, they can and do change any benefits that serve them and not necessarily the members. (That is not bad, it is just the business model.)

In the past, I thought they did give a first responders discount.

I know if you want to buy a lifetime membership it is best to call, they can be somewhat flexible with discounts.
