I've just discovered that Good Sam's online map search has been turned off while they look for some other replacement. The map search is probably the most useful feature of the Good Sam web site. Why would you completely turn it off before having some alternative search available? Don't the people who are running GS understand that the people who use their web site are travelers who are constantly searching maps for the next camp ground? Several threads have been started about the disappearance of the online map but after a few entries someone with Good Sam shuts down the thread because of "lack of activity" - apparently GS management doesn't like to hear about it.

Their website has said the feature was going away in April....that was announced months ago so it should not be a surprise to anyone it's gone. You are making an assumption Good Sam owns the program or maintains it. If they had a vendor that supplied the program and that contracted ended, the vendor has the right to remove their intellectual property. There are plenty of other app and programs out that that you can find CGs on...Allstays, Rv Park, RV Park Reviews, Rv Parky, etc...pick one.

For some unknown reason, the trip planner is still working on my computer.Ken

Just tried out the new trip planner. Couldn't find a way to save the trip for later on their site. As a test I did a trip plan, logged out, logged back in and it was gone. Also didn't see a way to transfer the trip to the GPS. Hopefully they'll fix this soon. I also use RandMcNally Tripmaker http://tripmaker.randmcnally.com/ which is the same as Good Sam's old trip planner minus the RV warnings and campgrounds. I really count on the RV warnings, so I hope that either Rand McNally Tripmaker turns them on, or Good Sam fleshes out its new trip planner to offer both the ability to save/edit trips and to transfer them to the GPS.

Will the new trip planner have the ability to save trips? Just spent 30 minutes entering my trip but there is no apparent way to save it...

Will the updated version list addresses rather than campground names? The address is less important in the listing than the address.

Will the updated version list stops as numbers or letters?

Just gave the new trip planner another try, routing to a campground in Salt Lake. The Trip Planner wants me to do a U turn! It's an RV trip planner, so it shouldn't be suggesting U turns unless absolutely necessary, and in this case it could have brought me in from I-15 to avoid the U turn.
