I too had an opportunity to use GSRA on 8-31-13 on a Saturday in the middle of a Louisiana swamp (well not quite - had just exited the LONG Actchafalaya Basin Bridge when BOOOOM !!!!!!! One of my one year old Goodyear Marathons on the left rear explodes --- wow what a show with all the banging and people swerving everywhere on I-10 !!!!
Took the 2.5 hours but someone came demounted the carcass, put the spare on the 'nice' wheel and 'only' charged me $175 for the replacement tire (not used, but not new either)
While all the service was fine, thought the price gouging on the spare was a little high, but given the heat and the drive, I decided to get it...
Is that the norm for the GSRA ????
