Disappointed in the time I have to wait for repairs through my Good Sam ESP. Contacted my local CW and was told I would have to wait until late December or early January. The repair involves the circuit board on the hot water heater and the fresh water tank leaking. From talking to other RV owners both jobs can be accomplished in less then a week. Now, our trip down south for the week after Thanksgiving will have to be postponed and probably cancelled. And to top it off, our RV was purchased at a CW.Truly disappointing. :(

That is a bummer.... is there another Camping World within a reasonable distance?Will you lose deposits due to the cancellation????Hope CW comes through for you, a lot sooner.

Try contracting the manufacture of your unit. They may send you to another service center which is what Heartland did for us. CW said it would be nine months before we could get in for service. The independent service center Heartland sent us to brought us in the next day and out the same day.

Welcome to the RV repair world. Under staffed, over worked, under managed, and for the most part don't give a darn.

Mark, there is no way in hell that I would cancel a weekend trip, much less a trip south, waiting for the monkeys at CW to fix anything. The circuit board can be replaced with a "Dinosaur" brand board that is ten times the quality of the OEM part. It's an easy DIY job, and the part is about $100 online. As for the water tank, tear it out, figure out what the problem is, and fix it. As an accomplished carpenter, there is little that you can't tackle on your rig. By DIYing your repairs you will not only save a ton of time and money, but the work gets done right, and you don't have to wait months for a job that may, or may not, be done correctly the first time.

Call a Mobile RV tech. They can usually handle extended warranty and get approval while on site.

I believe it's the circuit board since the fuse on the board keeps on blowing. And a little puff of smoke came off it.

Not sure why the water tank is leaking. Put water in and it comes right out. Only use the water when on the road for "emergency" pit stop.

I'm wanting to take it back to a CW since the warranty will cut the co pay from $100 to $50 if you get the work done at CW. And since it is two separate problems, I believe they charge a co pay for each problem. So, for $100, I can get both problems fixed.

I'll see what happens with help from the GS Care Team. They have helped me in the past.

Two months has been the norm for our dealership. So, we plan any repairs for off season, call a mobile tech or fix it ourselves.

mobil techs are smarter, faster, cheaper, and easier to deal with than the big shops.and they,ll let you watch and explain things.

Why do you think water heater circuit board is the issue?

Lots of other items/components can causes problems vs circuit board.
Failures of circuit boards are way down on the prone to fail list.

Fresh water tank leaking.....depends on the LEAK
But your trip south ----where you planning on boondocking/dry camping or using CGs with water hook ups.
CG with water hook ups...........go and deal with fresh water tank when you get back

Tell us symptoms/issues with Water Heater.....might be a simple easy cheap fix
And even IF it is the circuit board YOU can replace it yourself.
Just plug & play installation.

Call a mobil tech. Both repairs are simple and should take no more than a couple of hours or so unless the tank is split.

Why do you have a need to take the rv to Camping World?
If they are busy and you need the repair go somewhere else a lot of palces will work with you on the warranty.
