After reading the previous posts on this board I am wondering if I made a major mistake changing my RV insurance to the Good Sam endorsed United General last year.
We took our Fifth Wheel to the dealership to have a few minor issues looked at before the upcoming travel season started. Upon their inspection, we were told that there is a spot on the roof where the roof is separating (all we can see is a bubble and are trusting the dealership to know their stuff about what is going on with it) and also at some point in the past a low limb has caused some damage. The dealership is advising that we need a complete new roof. As of yesterday, UG wants to "patch" the roof. I am, by no means, an RV roof specialist but feel at this point I should trust my dealerships knowledge and experience on a major issue like this. We have a lot of $$$ invested here and plan to become full timers in the next couple of years. Personally, I just want it repaired and repaired correctly….whatever that takes! It's been at the dealership for a month and we are still looking at more time. I don't want to spend all summer haggling with UG insurance to fix our problem. Needless to say, I am frustrated. Wish I had not changed companies!!
