I don't know why threads need closed (locked) rather than allow them to die a natural death but that is unimportant.Are you aware that when you post a statement about closing, each one pops up as a new comment?If you want to lock a thread, just lock it, please don't post in it.

For the longest time many folks complained when thread was closed without comment as to why.Now it's complaints when a reason is given Dang if you do, dang if you don't:B

It does seem that some get locked sooner than others but that is the call of the moderator. In most of the posts locking the topic, it does say if you want to continue the topic you can create a new one.
