I am cancelling my goodsam roadside assistance as of today. On 2/21/2014 I got stuck in the snow in a remote area in eastern Utah. This was a paved road with no signs indicating it was closed. Luckily I was able to walk around the area until I could get a cell signal. I called goodsam and they dispatched a tow truck to pull us out but I had to agree to a $300.00 charge for the truck. Goodsam would not pay the entire bill and when the truck operator showed up he said goodsam would only pay $20.00 of the charges. I don't know if he was confused but I had no choice but to accept the additional $300.00 charge. By the way, this was in my mini-van and not my RV. I filed a complaint with goodsam on Monday, 2/24 and on 2/27 I received a phone call from goodsam, Ernestine @ 847-667-2658. The lady shouldn't be in the customer service business. She was very loud and obnoxious to me and refused to even consider my situation. Only after requesting to speak to her supervisor about her demeanor did she calm down and speak in a civil manner. I must say I was professional throughout the conversation. Goodsam insurance? forget it!

For each disablement event under this agreement for which member is entitled to towing services, member is entitled to a maximum of two hours of either Towing Preparation Services or Recovery Services. Towing Preparation Services include any of the following services: winch-out, extrication services and preparation for towing. Recovery Services include winch-out or extrication ser- vices to allow the vehicle to proceed safely under its own power. However, if disablement is caused solely by an accumulation
of snow by any means, the member will not be entitled to any Towing Preparation Services or Recovery Services in regard to such disablement.
