In need of a tow
our truck overheated and was leaking radiator fluid. We were on 101 in rural Oregon and needed a tow for our truck and trailer. After about an hour on the phone, I was advised they would locate a mobile repair technician and send him out in 2-3 hours. We were told we would have to pay $175 each way, plus repairs, even if he could not repair it. Then it would be another 3-4 hours for a tow.
We told them we would call our own tow. The tow company was there in 20 minutes and towed us to a campground and then towed our truck to the Chevy dealer, $686.23. The Chevy dealer repaired our truck and said it probably wouldn't have been repaired by a mobile tech as the truck needed to be on a hoist.
As soon as we find another tow company, we are quitting everything with Good Sam.
