A couple of things happened on Saturday.
First off Son & I left the motel @ 11AM to walk back to where RV was (1.7 miles). Nice man gave us a lift so all was good. Repair facility was closed tighter than a drum. Sister & Fiancé were in route to get us. They would be there in about 2 hours. I kept calling 24/7 EMERGENCY # with no answer & no answering machine.
Sis & fiancé arrive on schedule. WONDERFUL Future BIL has brought all sorts of power tools, wrenches, gauges, etc. to try to fix RV. We drag out the lawn chairs & all the food in the fridge that needs to be eaten up & sit while he works on RV, makes a run to the nearest town for parts BUT..... 3 hours later the RV is fixed & we're back on the road to home. HALLELLUJAH!!!!!!!
Second thing. Literally as Future BIL is slamming the hood down & we' re packing up THE OWNER arrives. Someone has called him to tell him We're outside working on an RV (small town). After telling him who I was he remembers GSRA calling him. This is what HE reported:
" yes the lady called & talked to me. She asked if I was open on Saturday after I told her I could fix the RV. I told her no, but IF the RV was an emergency or they (GSRA) needed me to fix the RV on Saturday I would come in especially to do that. Then the lady said no, she would direct you to another facility that WOULD be open on Saturday to have the RV towed to."
When I asked him about the EMERGENCY number on his door & mentioned I'd called it no less than TWO DOZEN times since that morning, he just said "I forgot to turn it on to have it forwarded to my personal cell phone."
So..... I got TWO different stories from TWO different people. Wires getting crossed? The agent not making herself perfectly clear? I still have the message on my cell FROM GSRA telling me the tow company's name/# & name of driver AND the repair company's name & number. SHRUG. I don't know what happened, whose fault what is, who was telling the truth, who got misquoted, or who lied to me.
BUT..... All is good. I DID get a free tow to a "repair facility" where I could get my RV repaired. Which I did. For basically FREE by my sisters fiancé. LOL! I got home just fine & the aggrevation & stress are over.
