Kudos to gsra
On Sunday I went to my storage location to pick up my Trailer to get ready to go to Arizona. Tired of the cold weather (-6 cel) HaHa.
I had to tow it up a slight incline and on a slight curve on the road from the storage location. That section of the road was covered in ice from the melting the previous day and wouldn't you know it the truck and trailer get halfway up the incline on the curve and then start to slide backward towards the ditch. I got it stopped and tried sanding the ice but did not have enough sand to get to bare pavement.
Sooo called GSRA for the first time in 7 years. The Representative stayed on the line with me until she had located a towing company with the right truck to help me. Towing Co. showed up 55 minutes later with a Hauler used to tow the big semi's,Wow.
The tow truck had the same problem I did. He was sliding backward toward my vehicle but thankfully got his rig stopped before hitting me. He then Chained up and was successful in getting me to bare pavement.
