Life member logo missing

I'm not a member. And I never even noticed if a logo was there on mine or anyone else's until this thread.

In the big picture, what does having any of the logos show up on this forum actually do for anyone? Does it get quicker responses? Or better responses? Does it unlock some secret board for members only? Does it block out certain posters?

Or is it simply a label that says "I'm paying Good Sam for something"? And if that's the case, then it doesn't work because I don't pay anything to Good Sam.

Actually I was not a member for over 10 years and my GS Logo still appeared in my sig. That made me more upset than not having it. If I could remove it today I would.

I actually am a life member and no I don't care what logo shows up. Its the small stuff and I don't worry about it.

No I wouldn't. This is just a forum. The logo means nothing here. No one looks at it and says "ah, there's a poster who knows something!" Or even "oh, a GS member, don't listen to them!".

I've got a bunch of free Good Sam stickers I put on my garage 'beer fridge' when they would send me membership junk mail..

I remember back in the 70's you'd see that Good Sam sticker on RV's of the day and since I was just a kid, I didn't really know what it meant.. I thought they just bought their rigs from the same place! ha, ha..

Anyway, the places I go don't do the discounts and such for membership, so I've never been one..

To the OP, it does seem to be that the actual link you have for your logo pick is no longer active, so that's why it does not show. (if you right click on the logo symbol and select 'copy image address' and then 'paste' that into your web browser, you'll see the link does not exist any longer.)

I think you have to find the logo image again, and update your signature with that new address??

I'm confused...Is there some kind of special privileges that goes along with the lifetime membership? It takes almost 15 years to break even over the yearly cost so what is the advantage?
Is it really that important to have the logo show up so others know you are a lifetime member?
Principal...I know...But life is just too short to worry about trivial stuff. JMO
