I have not been to an actual NASCAR Race, but last year my Son-in-Law took me on a VIP Tour of the Daytona Speedway. NASCAR has a warehouse in Daytona, not part of the speedway. They have all of the History of NASCAR and is where anyone who writes, makes movies or documentary about anything to do with NASCAR. it was awesome to see those early photos, articles, and trophys from the beginning to present day.
I appreciate the info you provided, as I love history. I love the fact that Good Sam & Camping World are both major supporters of NASCAR. Also I am glad to be a member of Good Sam. I think Marcus has done a lot for Good Sam, and I guess I should not of been surprised to see him start the race. My wife and I met Marcus and talked to him for a while at the Louisville Good Sam Rally, and he was a real down to earth person who makes you feel good when you talk to him.
In all honesty. The truck series IMOP, Is the closest thing to real racing you are going to find in todays world. I enjoy it much more than Cup. Those drivers WANT to win, and do all they can to do so.
I'm really surprised that the truck races are still going. They definitely do not get the fan support as the others do. I guess it's dependent all upon the sponsorship.
Everyone remember Ted Musgrave? He lives about a mile to mile and half down the road from me.
