We are full-timing. At the present we are in a "Good Neighbor Park" (GNP) in Albuquerque with full hook-ups, 50 amp service and wi-fi. A GNP costs us 1500 points/night ($15.00) and we have to pay the areas taxes, plus a surcharge for 50 over 30 amps.
We're here for 7 nights for a total of less than $135. Less than $20/day.
Sure, we had to make the reservation 3 days before we got here, but it took less than 5 minutes online.
Without asking my accountant (SO) about what we've saved in the last year, I'd put it at about $700-800 if you count the average night in a commercial campground at about $35/night.
Full timers can save a bundle using C2C and Escapees if they plan ahead. We boondocked at an Escapees park east of Temecula for six nights at $5/night and $5 to dump ($35 total). We have 600 amps of solar, so it might not work for everyone, but it works well for us.
Edit:
GNP parks are only one of about 5 different ratings for parks in the Coast 2 Coast system. We are Premier members and stay at many of the campgrounds free for up to 7 days. Since last November, we"ve stayed 21 days in "free" campgrounds, again at $35/day, about $700 in savings.
You need to do the math and see if it works for you.
