Membership cancelled - fell outside unknown parameters

I had AAA for years with no issues. even used them to tow my RV one time. Last year when AAA started charging for RV extra I looked around and found Good Sam would cover all my children also who were now drivers. I signed up for their 3 year plan. I just received a letter that my membership is cancelled as of today (2 days notice) since its 10 days from when the letter was written not from when I receive it. I called and they said my usage fell outside parameters. I asked what the parameters were and they could not give me an answer. We had 3 calls - one with the RV (not tow) and 2 our children needed help while we were out of town. Switching to Net Coah. Good Sam will never get my business or anyone else in my family for that matter - and I have a big extended family. I will make sure all social networks know about it too.

I use STATE FARM on everything here at the house... I have used STATE FARM since I was 18 years old... I used to also use AAA when I was traveling alot back in the day.

Of course I only have a small RV trailer on the road and can handle most everything myself on it road hazard wise...

If I was a RV TRAVELER I would probably need something else I imagine...

Hello Ghernandez, I apologize for the lack of notice your received regarding the cancellation of your policy. I would like to look into this. If possible, can you provide your Good Sam Roadside Assistance number in a private message and I will follow up.

    Thank you,

Closing the barn door after the horse has escaped.

Just another example of Camping World/Good Sam lack of concern and/or respect for their customer.

All roadside assistance companies and most other insurance companies will cancel policies when the policy holder has an excessive amount of claims. That is how they can afford to stay in business and meet the claims needs of the rest of their paying customers.

    Agreed!

But, they should give more than a 2 day notice to their customer, explain those limitations adequately in their printed material, and make their phone reps knowledgeable of them. If their own employees don't know those rules, then I bet they have never even told their customers.
  • I have never understood the need for AAA, GSRS, et al when my insurance company gives us the same, if not better service for a very nominal fee added to our premium, and yes, it covers/tows the TT as well. We have used it twice, and the service was excellent. My money says they probably even use many of the same roadside service/towing companies anyway.
