Idk if it's the right place to put the topic, but I'm wondering if you can recommend any decent moving company (in the US)?

Stick to the major moving companies. Another friend just got ripped off from one of the lowballers. Once they have your goods they suddenly come up with more charges and when they have your goods, there's nothing you can do but pay them.
