Went thru that back in 2001 when we had a freak motorcycle crash in Manitoba. Had full insurance including $10K Passenger with Natl General (GMAC) and was told that due to my DW being my Spouse wasn't covered. This was after 14 years of paying the extra premium. Couldn't drop them fast enough or ever again.
