Never Again
Broke down on I 81 in Carlisle PA on Wednesday. Truck, 30' 5th wheel, 2 pugs and us 2' from heavy traffic in 90 degree humidity with nowhere to walk to. Good Sam Roadside left us there for four hours....

In 27 years on the job, I dealt with many stranded motorists in a wide range of situations and much of that time was before cell phones were common place. Therefore, we would radio in for a dispatcher to contact the motorists service provider. During heavy travel times, i.e. summer and holiday periods a lengthy wait was sadly all too common because the service providers were backed up on calls. It is certainly dangerous to be stranded on the side of a heavily traveled roadway.
