Never Again

I've had G/S sense 04 and have used them only one time. Blew a inside tire on rear of a Wine Adv. 33. Called G/S and told them where was and answered all the many questions about what I was driving. About 2 hrs. later up drives P/U trk. No compressor and no tools. I ask what he was going to change the tire with and he didn't know. I ask if they told him what he was working on. He said they just said change blown tire. I gave him what came with the M/H and good thing I had Hyd. Jacks. He changed it by hand and it took us both to break the lugs loose but he got it done. By the way they send him from a town across the Mtn. and not from the town I was in. He earned his $ 1.98 that night. Mo2 cents.

Four hours is probably the long side of normal but not unreasonable IMO.
You can always just call the local tow company. That is all GS does.
But then GS is surely looking for low cost supplier so that may take longer.

So truck was towed........

Trailer?

Leave on side of roadway or was towed also?

Have had good service with GS ERS in the past. My only complaint was that the GS representative on the phone did not speak understandable (to me) English. I had to ask her to repeat everything.

Cause for the breakdown was the turbocharger hose on a F250 6l diesel blew off, 20 minutes after the 'professionals' at the local Ford Dealership replaced it. Cannot be replaced = trip to the garage for a replacement hose....

I guess then everyone who has had problems in my park over the past 15 years have had the exact same roadside assistance provider, because the same Heavy Duty Tow service comes out every time.

We had them for 14 years...same experience. No problems.

One advantage of a MH and toad. 1.stays with rig and the other goes with dogs to motel or coffee shop.Will look into coach net. Used AAA for MH tire blow out, Wasn't fun but eventually got the tire changed.

AAA is know world wide and IMHO, JMHO any and all tow companies will take the road side service call because they KNOW they will be reimbursed same as will your own national brand car insurance tow policies.

AAA has nice maps. They also will assist with a car. But they are regionalized and your comment about 'world wide' needs some clarification as it relates to RVs. In our AAA region they will not provide any service to fifth wheels nor travel trailers. You cannot purchase that coverage. They also will not assist off pavement, nor anything greater than a one ton. These are huge limitations. Coach Net is often the preferred choice of the Escapees, an organization made up of full time Rvers and will tow/assist any RV.
