Thanks for the info & link I'll visit that site right away, I do have a trip planned & will call them for things I may not have thought of yet. :D - tenbearExplorerGood Sam Club and Camping World are now one. Your GS membership card should be all you need.
- djsamuelNomadJust show them your Good Sam's card.
- delciroseExplorerHi,
I have had my membership with the Good Sam Club for quite some time and until just recently I have begun to wonder why I need to buy a separate membership to Camping World to get the discount when shopping there if it is already included in my Good Sam Club membership. Does one cover the other or visa versa, they are always hitting me up at Camping World to renew my membership as it is going to expire soon? Is this necessary or do I just show them my Good Sam Club Card and get the discount. Sorry if this has already been discussed but I did a search and did not see anything quite this specific in the posters question.
Thanks for your help - beemerphile1Explorer

Comical statement but far from the truth. You obviously are a cynic, that is okay, cynicism is a protection technique. Just don't be hamstrung by your erroneous assumptions.
Our chapter camps and parties together monthly. Attend one event or attend all, no problem.
I'm glad the chapter information online is blocked from non-members. The site gives contact information like phone numbers and email addresses. All you need to do is contact your state director and they can give you information about chapters in your area.bob_nestor wrote:

You'll never know unless you pony up a few bucks and join. Not that big of a risk. - bob_nestorExplorer III

I've looked but ... I don't buy that much at Camping World, so the discount doesn't do much for me. The gas discounts in most places just bring the prices down to what the competition is offering in the area. I like to camp in places where I can do hiking and off-roading which usually means State and National Parks. I've tried looking on the Good Sam web site to find out more about the 1,000's of RV Parks that offer discounts, but it appears you have to be a member before you can even find out where these parks are and what they offer. I've tried to find information on the local chapters and what they have to offer, but again it appears you need to join before you can get some of that information. What little info is available seems to indicate that the local groups get together a couple times a year to swap cookies and go outlet mall shopping. Hmmm, no thanks.
BTW, I have the same "problem" with other RV Clubs like Escapees. I'd love to join some RV groups that do things like Habit for Humanity builds, disaster cleanup, outdoor activities like hiking, backpacking and 4-wheeling but the details seem to be hidden behind a requirement to "join first, find out later".
Oh, and the few times I do go to Camping World I get bombarded at the door with "an offer I just can't refuse" - a free trial camping weekend at Thousand Trails. Been there, done that. No thanks.
So maybe I'm just an odd duck when it comes to RVing and camping. But I know I'm not the only one because I've met a lot of other RVers just like me. It would be nice to find an RV club, or clubs, that are more aligned to what we enjoy doing. - Bucky_BadgerExplorer

Did you join SAM'S CLUB, a division of Walmart, or did you join GOOD SAM, part of Camping World????????????????????????
:S - dbblsExplorerI don't think Camping World sells Sam's Club membership, they do sell Good Sam Club membership. As others have said, join a local chapter and join in the fun.
