New RV Van Conversion Good Sam quote

Sorry if this is not the place for this, but I just bought a van converted by born free and I am looking to insure it and gieco had no clue what to do with it. Should I get my quote on the good sam website or check w Marcus here? Sorry new to the forum and forums in general, but trying to learn fast.

  • You are welcome. Just remember when dealing with an insurance company always use the KISS plan. Keep It Simple and just give them Make, Model, and year, let them look it up in their book.

  • You can call our 800# 888-514-1116. Different carriers have different restrictions on what they will accept for conversions. Underwriting rules differ regarding bathroom, kitchen and living areas. We can see if it fits the rules of any of our carriers.
  • Are you using a GEICO agent or calling the 800 number? Do not say it is a van converted by Born Free. Tell them it is a Class "B" Born Free and give them the model number.
  • Ask a number of agents/insurance companies. Get the best coverage for you dollar. I use GS for my TT and may switch the TV next year.
