I think this is a very positive move forward for GSE and hopefully a first step in making the Big Red Book more accurate and easier to use with less fluff.

However, speaking as someone who is generally skeptical of "Mob" review sites in general I wonder how much gaming will go on by the RV Parks themselves. This is easy to do and is rampant on sites such as Trip Advisor.

It would also be interesting to hear from Good Sam what sort of rules apply for RV Park owners to get false reviews removed. And what will keep those same park owners from trying to get an accurate but very bad review removed?

There will be no review editing by Good Sam. A review will either be approved & go live on GoodSamClub.com or the review will not be approved & not appear on the site. If a review contains foul language it will not be approved. We are unable to edit each individual post to make it appropriate for all audiences. If someone wants to see his/her review go live on the site, then foul/inappropriate language should not be included.

When the review is approved, the reviewer will receive an email letting him/her know the review is now live. Note that this will be a system generated email so everyone should be sure to check your junk/spam folder in case the email letting you know your review is approved & live ends up in your junk/spam folder.

How much editing will be done by Good Sam? What exactly constitutes an "approved review"?

I understand removing "inappropriate content" such as foul language and spam but if edited beyond that they will be worthless. Give the readers of the reviews credit for the ability to discern for themselves if a review is correct or not.

I just used the new site to review Pomo rv park in Fort Bragg, CA. It's very easy to navigate and I think it's a great addition to the GS club. I will continue to use it as well as RVparkreviews.com
