Now I need to understand

I think it's interesting that whenever a policy of GS Enterprises gets called into question on this forum over an issue with some aspect of the club or the RSA or anything else, the topic gets closed.

In this case I was still waiting for an answer on the topic "Help Me Understand" that made sense.

If I can access virtually anything online from my social security to my electric bill what justification is there for NOT being able to manage the Road Side Assistance online simply because it was purchased at a dealership?

It is these silly and often dumbfounding quirks of GSE (all one conglomerate and headed by Mr. Lemonis) that bring so much justified criticism from members.

My Good Sam Club Deluxe Member Card has NEVER gotten me a discount at any Flying J anywhere. At the register or at the pump. And whenever this is brought up here on this forum we get convoluted non explanations and then the topic is closed when people start posting obvious questions and leveling criticism.

This is the 21st century. Give everyone ONE CARD that actually works, and electronically enable it for whatever parts of the Good Sam benefits/memberships as appropriate.

This scattershot approach hobbled by mismanagement and an overcomplicated system is not serving the best interests of GSE or its Members and Customers.

Respectfully
AP

Ok. No one EVER wants to be broken down with an RV what a bummer. :(

OP. Read your post about it and who you used to tow it. Was the Dodge tow for free with your warranty?

""Now I called the Chrysler/Dodge road side Assistance and they had a tow truck to me within an hour and towed me and my trailer to the KOA in Cheyenne and then my truck to the dealer. At the dealer they ordered a new rear axle assembly while I stood there and put me in a brand new Dodge Durango FREE. They apologized for not having a 3/4 ton truck for me so I could continue my trip!

Along with the fact that the Dodge warranty is a good long one on the drive train, 100,000 miles and 3/36 on the rest of the truck with this road side assistance and the free car it really took the sting out of the whole debacle.I have been very impressed with the way this has been handled so far.Makes me wonder how GSE RSA might compare?..."

Well I don't think GS would be giving you a free car anytime soon or ever!

Glad everything worked out so well for a breakdown.

This has nothing to do with my situation I have asked this question before on this forum. And I think that when I read it there was no second page and no correction as yet from GSE.

I may have missed it and if so I send my apologies. But my basic point and criticism is still valid.

And Yes the Dodge Warranty Tow was FREE.

And just for the record, I am not bored, I am not unduly upset about my predicament and I am quite busy. But I can see why you may think that.

Actually I am so da**ed happy to be OUT of Minot that nothing else can ruin it. :)

  • 4X4Dodger,

Thank you for your post. I apologize that the thread was closed before you were able to read my response to the situation brought up by another member. As for your issue with Pilot/Flying J and your Swipe and Save card not working properly, I would recommend calling Pilot/Flying J Card Services department to ensure everything is correct in their system. They can be reached at 1-800-562-6210. When we send out the cards, they are active to receive the three cent discount, but if there is an issue, they will be able to further assist.

As for your concern over having multiple membership cards, we have members who are part of the Good Sam Club, Good Sam Roadside Assistance, and Good Sam TravelAssist, without being members of the others. These are all separate memberships, with separate benefits, therefore have separate membership cards.

I hope this further addresses your questions and concerns.

    Thank you for your membership,

    Ohiojude,

Thanks again for your post. I would like to apologize as I misspoke in my first post to you. You are now able to register Dealer Roadside Assistance memberships on www.GoodSamRoadside.com. This is a change from in the past that I was not made aware of until now. I have been in contact with our IT department in regards to the problems you had with your account, and they have fixed whatever it was on the back end of things that was preventing you from registering. You should now be able to register your membership without any further issues. Once again, I apologize for the miscommunication, as I was personally unaware. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

As you can see, the answer was given, the problem fixed.

That topic was posted by Ohiojude.

He received this response by GS.

    ..."Ohiojude,
Thank you for your post. If you have a Good Sam Roadside Assistance that was purchased from one of our dealerships, you are not able to register this membership online. This membership is still valid, and can be used for Roadside Assistance, it is just not able to be registered for added access on the website. Please let me know if you have any further questions. So why are YOU still waiting for an answer. :?
