Please help me understand?

Hello,

Yesterday we went to CW for some warranty work. We bought a few things. At the register she said she didn't see we were signed up for roadshid assistance. We are and told her. So today I go online to GSRA and it didn't recognize me. I called the # and was told that since I bought it thru CW it is different and I can't access my account online and I cannot use the app. So if I had to use this RA would I get told I don't have RA? I'm alittle worried now.

Regards,

judy

  • Ohiojude,

Thanks again for your post. I would like to apologize as I misspoke in my first post to you. You are now able to register Dealer Roadside Assistance memberships on www.GoodSamRoadside.com. This is a change from in the past that I was not made aware of until now. I have been in contact with our IT department in regards to the problems you had with your account, and they have fixed whatever it was on the back end of things that was preventing you from registering. You should now be able to register your membership without any further issues. Once again, I apologize for the miscommunication, as I was personally unaware. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

  • So you can have GSERA and not be a GS member.... So how is GSERA a member benefit if it s available to the general public?
OP must be a member and not know he is. If he bought RV at CW dealer possibly dealer did not register his Elite Membership.

you are not able to register this membership online.

This membership is still valid, and can be used for Roadside Assistance, it is just

not able to be registered for added access on the website.

Can you please tell us why when a customer purchases a "GS" membership to a plan irregardless of where they purchase it GS denies full access to the GS website? :?

Does a non GS member pay more for GS roadside service or is there a cost savings to GS members. I thought GSERA was a perk of being a GS member.

No not a perk you have to pay for it and no discount.

As per their website here is what joining the GS "Club" membership discounts. I know I did not get any discount on my ERS from being a GS Club member.

"Savings at Good Sam Parks, Camping World and Pilot Flying J

Save 10% on the nightly rate at 2,100+ Good Sam Parks

Save instantly on fuel at Pilot Flying J

Save at Camping World—the Club's official RV Accessory Retailer!"

I got tired of the discount excuses at CG's, don't fuel at Flying J, and don't shop at CW, the post office closed my po box because of all the direct mail from GS while I was on the road which created a serious problem for me, so I didn't renew my GS Club.

  • rockhillmanor,

Thank you for your post. All of our memberships are separate from one another. You are able to see the public portion of the Good Sam Club website without membership. In order to login, you must be a member. This is the same for Good Sam Roadside Assistance. You must be a member in order to register and see the member's only portion of the website, yet there is still information regarding these memberships that is available to the public. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Here's the news flash that I have a real hard time with.
You will never be able to go online the GS website UNLESS you pay and join the GS club too.

You can have a membership on a Road Side Assistance plan, BUT unless you ALSO pay for a GS membership they will NOT let you access the GS website.

IMHO it's a gotcha to get more money. Who in the world today does not let you access their company website without first having to pay for the right to access it even though you are already 'paying' for one or even two of the plans they offer?? :R

And the 'since you bought it at CW it's different'? Now THAT is the best one I've heard yet.

  • You should have a card for RA in your wallet or vehicle. It will have your RA # which is same as your GS membership.
