We are staying a park in Phoenix, AZ for a couple months. We have a wel behaved dog 2 1/2 yr old. that gets walked 4-5 times daily to the dog park and around the park grounds for exercise. The wife was approached last week by a perm. resident and chewed out about the dog peeing on a rock and common area plants (along with other residents dogs and coyotes). Happened to notice the resident posted a notice for al to see on his opinion of dog owners and their disregard for his property. I approached the manager on my concern of the notice and the damage it would do to future RV'ers passing through she layed into me in a very un professional manner and informed me that dogs can be taken to the dog park to do their business only and controlled (guess she meant to drive them to the park like alot of residents do with their older dogs). Have come to the conclusion that dog friendly does not mean dog friendly in the Good Sam guides. I alos now see first hand the locals really do not want the Nomads passing through helping to keep their rents low by paying some of the cost for park operation with their rent monies.
I'm hoping to be contacted by Good Sam to pass on the notice that is posted by one resident so they can include this information in the next update to the ratings for the park. In addition the facilities are not what they claim.
Sorry but I don't think you will find the "your right" comments you were looking for. :S
Also, I think contrary to your predictions, folks who don't have pets, and responsible pet owners would appreciate knowing the park you are upset with so they could consider staying there.
Also, if it wasn't for several park models in most parks, there may be "no" park there for nomads like yourself.
One more also please.
Who are you referring to in your post title when you say "Poor Attitude"?
I would take it to possible be yourself the way I read it? :h
