My membership with AAA comes due in October, but I was considering switching to GS for my wife and I and the travel trailer. We just had AAA for my wife and daughter and I had GM roadside assistance for the truck. We didn't have AAA RV for the camper since we never took it very far from home and only a couple times a year and I am always the one driving. Now, with my daughter gone and my GM roadside gone, I am thinking of going with GS for my wife and I and the camper for peace of mind.My question is, what is the best rate I can get right now? I see it for $79, but was wondering if there is a discount I am not aware of. Is there anything for disabled veterans perhaps? Or anything that can get me something lower than $79.00?

X3Had a horrible experience with AAA....so I changed to GS.Had one experience with them and it worked but wasn't really good.When it expires, I'm going with Coach Net....even if the cost might turn out to be a bit higher (I don't know if it will.)

Do your research on Good Sam.I have both AAA and Coach.net, and have them throughout the years. If I had to chose only one it would be Coach.net.

That said, give them a call, tell them your story, about thinking about switching, and see what they'll offer you. I was able to get a reduced 3 year rate just by calling them and asking why I was getting multiple renewal notices in the mail, when my anniversary date was 4 months away. They apologized and offered a lower 3 year package than what I could come up with just by renewing online. You've got nothing to lose by trying. You can always cancel if it doesn't work out well, or switch again when your coverage ends.

After having both at different times, CoachNet wins by far.

Good Sam left me stranded. They have no sense of urgency.

The cost is meaningless if they wont show up.
There are way too many posts form people who have been left sitting by GS to ever consider them in my opinion.
Don't bother searching for those posts, they're quickly deleted.

I am now paying $132 per year and consider that a bargain! 1 tow could cost you twice your yearly premium. Two of my tows with my trailer ending up costing me $1200 and $1000. Try finding a tow vehicle at 1:00 am in the morning on your own:(
