Have motorhome and 3 cars insured through National General. In 2015, with no coverage changes and no traffic violations, total price went up 25%. This year with no coverage changes and one red light...

Free enterprise system at work. They see you as an increased risk and increased the premium.
Without getting into what happened or guilt I think most who read this will agree, those who take risks should pay increased premiums. You were charged and pled guilty or were convicted of running a red light. Risky behavior increased premium.
As for the year before; did you go through an age increase? Change of marital status? Move to a different zip code? get a different vehicle? even having an adult child move back into the house? They can all affect your premium. Or there may have been a general increase for all insureds in your state. It could even be related to the state you live in the company may see an increased risk with the new marijuana laws in the area (risky behavior again)
