Pushy Sales Advertisements

Please UNSUBSCRIBE me from ALL SALES EMAILS. I am being swamped in my email box with multiple sales offers.

I first used the option to limit them to one per month but nothing changed, I then unsubscribed form all emails and received a notice that I was unsubscribed, but nothing changed.

Now when I unsubscribe, I am informed to unsubscribe I must call customer service at the below customer service number

If you check my record you will see that I do purchase items from Camping World BUT this pushy sales effort will soon turn me off as a future customer.

Here is the reply from my last effort to unsubscribe.

To unsubscribe from Camping World emails, please call customer service at 1-800-626-3636.
  • I suggest a minimum of two emails. One for friends and family, one for “business,” forums etc. Quick deletes for the business one. And a third for messages from above? lol Your concerns are nearly identical to pre-internet “junk mail” concerns. However, internet spam is so much less expensive than junk mail was.
  • GS uses several aggressive mail solicitation companies to send you multiple pieces of junk mail every month. They get paid for each one they send so have no inducement to STOP sending them.

    I gave up trying to be nice and believing their 'Oh, we'll stop sending those' lies when I called and just started to collect all their mail, stuff it in ONE post paid envelope and sent it back with my name front and center and 'NO' written wherever a signature was required.

    Took months, but they finally got tired of getting those thick and heavy mailed returns that THEY paid for and that never generated any income and gave up on me. To my great relief. Oh, and my great satisfaction too. Kind of enjoyed giving it to them after I'd tried to be nice.

    This is the only method of getting GS to stop sending you tons of junk mail. Despite what their reps or emails say.
  • The CAN-SPAM act REQUIRES companies to include a link on the email to unsubscribe. This link must be functional and must work to unsubscribe the recipient. They can not require any other step to unsubscribe.
    Report their actions to the FTC using the form on the FTC website.
  • Wrap a brick in brown paper, then tape the envelope (unopened) on the outside.

    Line thru your address, and write "Addressee Deceased - Return to Sender"

    2 things happen - they have to pay shipping for a brick, and you get some satisfaction!

    I’d be pretty impressed if this worked for the E-MAILS the OP was complaining about.

    Did he scan the brick in? Requires a flatbed scanner.

  • I nerv get any unwanted soliticians. I run CCleaner on the front end, Ad Block and Trend Micro as my AV client. I get nothing I don't want, ever.
