I just did this for my deceased Father…
Close your Good Sam account. If you were also a member of Camping World close that account as well. This will stop the marketing mail connected to your old membership(s).
- Log into both online accounts - use the forgot password trick if needed. Update your marketing preferences (direct mail, phone/text, email, etc.) in both accounts.
Unsure of your old email account - see website truepeoplesearch. You will need access to this email account - again forgot password trick.
- Email each affiliate separately and Good Sam Club, Good Sam Roadside, Good Sam Travel Assist, Good Sam Insurance, Camping World’s, etc. and ask to be removed from their postal mailing list.
Please remove my name/address from your postal mailing list. (Name/address EXACTLY how appears on mailer) See attached mailer as reference. (Attach USPS Informed Delivery image)
NOTE: Email is normally located at bottom of webpage or in contact us section.
- Locate Good Sam’s/Camping World’s privacy policy and follow their opt out procedure.
Communication preferences - Write to us at Good Sam Mail Preference Service, P.O. Box 6888, Englewood, CO 80155-6888 to opt-out of future mailings. - I personally didn’t have to do this step since I emailed my requests but it is worth mentioning just in case.
- If postal mailer includes a postage paid envelope - return with address portion included and ask to be removed from their mailing list.
NOTE:: These steps will also stop Good Sam & Camping World mailers for past residents.
