Check with this camping club, Escapees.com they might be able to recommend another insurance company. Also the states have different requirements, depending on how much money the insurance companies paid the people writing the laws. In some states, the state requires special insurance for those who have not had insurance for the past year be 'assigned risk'. This prevents people from signing up for insurance, and not making any other payments, just to have coverage while getting the car registered.
Other states do not have a "Assigned risk" requirement for newly insured drivers. Besides, you are dropping "Progressive" to get another brand of insurance, and some insurance companies will not ask how long you have had your Florida drivers license, or how many years you have been with Progressive, just that you are currently insured, and want to get a better price quote.
Another tip. If you will not be driving the coach for several days or weeks, you might consider 'suspending' your liability coverage for that timeframe. So if the RV will be PARKED, and not driven, you can suspend coverage, and reduce the rates a lot. You should not suspend the fire, theft, and other coverages during the time the liability coverage is suspended. Normally I leave a tag on the steering wheel while it is suspended, so I am reminded to call my insurance agent before driving my motorhome. I only need the liability coverage the week or so that I am on vacation. THe fire and theft coverage is for the remaining time of the year, and only runs a few dollars. .
Have fun!
