We have a Lifetime membership. Bought our coach in 2013 and got a 3 year Elite membership that goes back to my Lifetime when it's done. I always get asked about renewing my membership. When they finally realize that I don't need to update it, they move on to trying to get me to renew my GSRA. Well I have it until 2020 (was given it with purchase of coach). So then I have to explain to them that I have it for another 5 or 6 years. I don't think the clerks can really tell much on the computer end and/or they are urged to sell them. maybe there is commision for it or they get points or something. Nothing more than going to Best Buy, Walmart or any other place and being asked about buying a warranty. Had a salesman at HHGregg drop the price of a tv and mattress set we were buying to cover the cost of a 5 year warranty on the tv. We refused the warranty when first asked about it. But he wanted the sale of the warranty, so he made up for it by lowering the cost of hte other stuff. Must be decent commissions in it.
