Same thing happens with DishTV and DirectTV too. They offer a reduced price with a dynamite package for the first year or two. Then after that introductory offer ends, "thar goes the bill!" Up to the roof!
Someone suggested to us go with DishTV for the initial 2 years, then cancel. Then go with DirectTV for 2 years, then cancel. Then go back to DishTV as a new account and keep bouncing back and forth every 2 years. ... (um ... we finally canceled both and don't do any now).
It does not seem right to offer a dynamite offer to NEW customers and existing customers get screwed over. But it happens in every business.
