Good Sam Roadside does offer specials from time to time for new members, "gift" memberships, and also different levels of membership that have different prices.

The easiest and by far the BEST way to deal with this is to get on the phone to renew and tell them you know about the new member rate and ask them to give you that rate. My bet is they will.
This tactic of pricing depends on the path of least resistance on the part of the customer. Push back and I think you will find they will give you the lower rate with no problem.
It is frustrating for sure and is it the way to treat good loyal customers?...no. But unfortunately it is the common practice now.
