1. It will usually result in getting reimbursed for the tow truck the OP ended up calling for assistance and having to pay for.
2. You're not rendering aid to them, you're making an official statement of the dissatisfaction with their service.
3. It's not a complete waste of time when you recoup the $100 - $1000 for the tow truck you paid for out of pocket.
While GS may not improve due to these complaints, a customer can recoup something they've lost (money) without having to go to small claims court. And hopefully after the first time, they've learned their lesson and don't count on GS to provide service - but to provide compensation instead.
