We called our roadside service last week. CoachNet. Our toad had spilled it guts all over the engine, so we didn't want to try to drive it. Called around 8:10 a.m. She said a tow truck would be to us in the campground by 9. He was there about 5 till 9. DH was ready to go with him, but he said. . ."I know where Bruce (our mechanic) is." Got it there and was on his way again by 9:30 a.m. No charge, no papers to sign.
This was in Elkhart, Indiana.
Second time we've used them this year. The last time was in March and our 40' Phaeton threw the serpentine belt and had to be towed off I-12 north of New Orleans. More time was involved, but the tow truck did get to us within an hour. Just took a lot of time to unhook the driveshaft, etc. Another great job, though. He towed us to the truck service center and backed Phaeton Place into a bay at the garage.

You didnt want to tackle a serpentine belt Dale, shame on you!
Well, as it was, it took THREE mechanics. One standing on his head down through the floor of the rear bedroom closet, one underneath and one going through the side compartment we had taken the back panel out of. Needless to say, this wasn't the same as service at a Freightliner RV Oasis center, but they did get the job done.
That's why it costs $900 to change the serpentine belt on the Phaeton!
