We signed up 17 years ago went we started full-timing because we have a mail forwarding service and 'pay' to have our mail forwarded so we didn't want any 'extras'.
Along with doing the above, every time we subscribed to a magazine or ordered anything online or over the phone, we always ask that we not be put on any kind of mailing list. We don't want catalogs.
It took about a year of keeping on top of everything but for the past 16 years, we haven't received any kind of junk mail - not even those pesky credit card offers.
So it can be done!
Why should you have to pay a fee to stop what is junk ,wrong, and not asked for?
