No, it's not quite that easy sad to say.
I subscribe to GS ERS and that does NOT entitle me to use their website unless I pay an ADDITIONAL fee to join GS club.
I don't think I should HAVE to be forced to subscribe to another GS service I do not want, to be able to access the website.
Which is interesting because that is where they direct you to be able to choose your preferences, only thing is GS expects you to PAY for that privilege I guess.
I don't think I know of even one company that makes you PAY to use their website. :R
And for those that say all this direct mail is not a problem. It IS a problem when you have a PO BOX and they keep closing your box because of excess mail that doesn't fit and it is ALL GS mail.
You are not paying to use the Good Sam Club website, your are paying to be a member of the Good Sam Club which in turn gives you members only access to the the Good Sam Club website.
Good Sam Club and Good Sam Roadside Assistance offer very diffrent benefits which is why they are diffrent memberships, and thier websites are exclusive of one another.
As to saying that you can't think of one Compnay that charges to use thier website? Netflix and Hulu spring to mind, just to name 2 of many Websites that require you to pay a subscription/membership fee to use what is on their site.
As to mailings you have been taken off the Mailing List, so you should see the amount of mail you get dwindle to next to nothing over the next few weks.
