It's insurance double speak...kinda of like, "If a covered part fails due to the fault of a non covered part, the covered part will not be covered."...that said:
When someone from Good Sam 'reaches' out to you, they will ask you to send them a PM with your information so they can research it and get back to you. That way your question will not be answered in a public forum.
Please, when you get an answer, post the results here so we all know what happened. Many of us "subscribe" to posts like this to determine if, when asked, we want the Good Sam coverage for items we purchase.....Dennis

OP. GOOD NEWS/Resolution -- apparently the individual who responded to my original question from GS believed I was asking a question about an "extended warranty program" the type you buy on individual items -- like on a new refrigerator, or laptop. GS Extended Warranty representatives contacted me through PM and then telephonically to assure me that my GS Extended Warranty covers everything that it originally covered and will continue to do so! So my awning is on its way to repair as soon as I can get to a Camping World -- which I just happen to be going to this coming Thursday!
Thanks for all the kind words, thanks GS Extended Warranty for clearing this up and making me feel much better!
