I believe all roadside assistance policies allow only one service per incident. You have to choose, sometimes difficult to do with an unknown issue.
I had an ignition key that would not release nor could I start the car. Called - did I wish a locksmith or a tow?? I choose the tow because IF the ignition system was toast, I still could not have moved. Tow truck driver came and mightily manhandled the key and got it out. Drove to the locksmith for some service on a balky key system all was good.
Hard to know the right choice but you had made yours and they should have followed up with your wishes. Glad it all worked out for you!
