I just talked to the claims person for Good Sam Insurance (National General). He confirmed my expectations as to the following scenarios:
1. If my toad breaks free and is damaged, the auto insurance on the toad is responsible for fixing the car.
2. If the toad brakes free and causes other damages, since the damage would be my fault as the RV driver, that damage would be covered by the RV policy.
3. If the toad is damaged in an RV accident, its damage should be covered by the auto policy, not the RV policy.
a. My auto insurance should cover it if it was my fault
b. If it was the other person's fault, my auto insurance should cover it and collect from the person at fault just like any other accident.
4. If I side swipe another car or thing, my damage is covered by the car insurance. Other damages caused by this is covered by the RV insurance since it would be the RV driver's fault.
In general, liability is covered by the RV insurance while collision is the responsibility of the auto insurance. While damage to my car would hurt, my major concern has been about liability which could be devastating.
Any comments on this are welcome.

I would also call your auto insurance company to confirm that they agree with what you were told by GS.
