Trailer Life

I got Trailer Life for many years. About 6 or 7 years ago I canceled my subscription due to more articles on motorhomes than trailers. I am curious if it is still that way?
  • The 4 complimentary issues with the "Highways Magazine" inserts will begin next year (2014).

But if you bought a camper from Good same and got the Elite Membership status, then you might have gotten a free year. I know when we bought our MH on the 1st of June, there was a card to fill out and send in for a free year. Which we did and of course are still waiting on it. I'm sure it won't be long. Magazine subscriptions normally take at least 6-8 weeks.
  • You know, I haven't received my Trailer Life issues that were complementary with my Good Sam's membership IIRC.
  • I have to say it really chaps me, to pick up my Trailer Life and find reviews of MH's outnumbering Trailers. In the last four months of Trailer Life there were as many articles highlighting MH's as highlighting TT's. True there were more articles on 5vers, but why even put MH articles in a trailer magazine.

My mom subscribes to MH and I read hers for MH info (thinking about changing to MH in a few years). I just looked through 4 months MH Magazine (all this year) and there were NO articles on Trailers.

I suspect the marketing behind the magazines thinks that as a TL Magazine reader they can sell me on "upgrading" but as a MH Magazine reader, I have already arrived and don't need to be upsold on anything other than a bigger more expensive MH. Pretty elitist but typical marketing strategy as we all "need to constantly go bigger and fancier." US consumerism at it's best.
  • I have been a member since March and have never received any magazine??!

The August issue had a test report on a motorhome, The Phoenix Cruiser. And a truck camper story and ads for motorhomes. This mix has been the case for a long time. And there was only one review about a trailer. The rest was mostly travel destinations and camping gear info.

You are correct there is a motorhome magazine. That was one of my complaints. Put the motorhome articles and adds in Motorhome not Trailer Life.

Do you read the magazine or just get it. I guarantee you that in 10 years there have been many articles on motorhomes.
  • I've been taking it for about 6 years and don't remember any articles about MH. You do realize starting next year that if you are a Good Sam Club member that you will get four issues of Trailer Life or MH Life in place of the Hiways magazine you are now receiving? You have to tell them which one you want.
