Transfer or cancel?

Question

I have an extended service plan from GS that I purchased back in April, 2017 just as our factory warranty was to expire. We have decided to trade in our RV and down size. Our new RV comes with a 1 year warranty. My question is if I transfer the warranty to the new RV will it take effect after my one year is up with the coach manufacture? Or should I cancel the GS warranty and pick it back up after my manufactures warranty expires? Double coverage is a wasthe and I was told I will get refunded on the remainder of the GS warranty.

Cancel and then self insure. You will come out $$$$ ahead.

I would assume the new plan would take effect immediately so you lose a year. whether to have a service plan or not in part depends on how traumatic would a problem of $3000 be to your overall finances.
but cancel, get the refund and then make a decision.
