If I read the contract correctly. The ESP only kicks in after the manufactures warranty runs out. So the manufactures warranty is always in the first position.
The sales pitch they use is, different components, of the RV have different manufactures warranties, time wise. So you would always be covered, without have to track which component warranty ran out.
And what I also found interesting in relation to your problem ( the lights) the ESP does not cover wiring, unless it is on the 110 side.
So as far as I can tell, having the ESP on a brand new rig, would do little for you as far as priority service. As it would come under the manufactures warranty at this point. And even if the manufactures warranty was out, and it was solely on the ESP, I would be shocked if they bumped you to the head of the line.
