Trip points balance

Question

For an up coming trip I was looking for a CG and checking my trip points balance. Above the box where the balance was displayed it said I was below the "Trip points balance threshold" and please purchase more points. I wasn't aware that there was a minimum balance that needed to be maintained..... can someone enlighten me on this? Its not mentioned in the trip points explanation on the C2C web site. In fact, I haven't found where its mentioned anywhere.

C2C wants you to keep more money in the account (this only benefits them) and as long as you have enough to pay for your stay is all you need.

Normally that alert comes up if you are under what would be considered normal for reserving a campground site for more than 2 days. so whats that like 30-40 bucks.. figure that times 10K owners thats a lot of cash just sitting around and i bet marcus has figured a way to make some cash off that.. which I am good with if it helps keep rates and expenses low.
