From my experience, it doesn't make any difference if you are in an RV or the family car. They keep you on the phone for around 10-15 minutes to get your information, and then you have to wait for a minimum to 30 minutes for someone to get there. I've never needed it for the RV, but have used it a few times for the car/truck. We have AAA.
