We were traveling to a campground on Labor Day. On the way, we blew a brake line on our TV. Our fifth wheel was parked in a parking lot and we got a ride to a hotel with the wrecker driver.
When I asked the GS customer service rep about being reimbursed for the hotel and rental car, I was told that we could stay in the fifth wheel and there would be no reimbursement. I was under the understanding that Roadside Assistance would provide a hotel when the repairs couldn't be done until the next day. He told us that they would only reimburse for a hotel in the case of a wreck on the highway! The temperature was in the 80's, and very humid. The rep wanted us to spend the night with no water or electricity!
Needless to say, we were very dissatisfied with the service we recieved from GSRA. Luckily, we didn't have to spend more that one night in the hotel.
Since you were not in a collision they will not reimburse you. This is a quote from the brochure "You may be eligible for Trip Interruption Assistance benefits if the vehicle you are driving is in a collision with another vehicle."
