When I asked the GS customer service rep about being reimbursed for the hotel and rental car, I was told that we could stay in the fifth wheel and there would be no reimbursement. I was under the understanding that Roadside Assistance would provide a hotel when the repairs couldn't be done until the next day. He told us that they would only reimburse for a hotel in the case of a wreck on the highway! The temperature was in the 80's, and very humid. The rep wanted us to spend the night with no water or electricity!
Needless to say, we were very dissatisfied with the service we recieved from GSRA. Luckily, we didn't have to spend more that one night in the hotel.
All I can say is if you have the right per contract Good Sam will come thru for you. From personal experience on Labor day as well not only did they reimburse me but they went above and beyond to ensure i was completely satisfied. So if you have the right hang in there and if its not in the policy then there's not much to complain about unfortunately.
