What is the Air system called

HI what is the air system called that you bleed when you stop the rig to park it and then you bring back up off the tires to drive off. Like air suspension? Someone in my family owns an older Wanderlodge with detroit diesel and it has been sitting in campground for a couple of years. They put new tires and batteries on it but now the system that should bring the RV up and ready to drive is not bringing it up. So need to know what it could be like air leak, or what and is this a big deal or no? It is a shame because this rig is beautiful!!!!!
Thanks in advance for the help.

  • From your limited description I would say it's is either a problem with your Air compressor which would supply air to the brakes as well as the suspension system or the valves that control the suspension. If you get air build up on the gauge the compressor is working, if over time you lose that pressure (like one hour) you have a leak. If you cannot build pressure it's probably the compressor.

    Much more info is needed.
  • A leak in your air suspension system could be as simple as a dislodged hose or something way worse. It's kind of a big deal since your airbrakes likely won't work.

Something to read (clicky) until someone comes up with something.

PS:: Wanderlodges are VERY cool, IMHO.
