Just wondering if any of you have signed in to a campground all set up to find there is no bathroom or shower? None! We just found 1, a Good Sam park in Flagstaff, Az. And no mention of it until I asked. I'm not sure, if, in 40 years of camping we have ever found this nor would I expect to. I know some of you don't care but we prefer to not put solids into our waste tank so that we never worry about plugging up or only dumping when full so it does matter to us. There were also some other problems so I would recommend that Good Sam not be endorsing this campground and I have informed them of the name.

Never seen one in 30 or so years camping. Never been in more than one or two either.

I've been into a couple where they close the showers/restrooms at a stupidly early hour in the evening. But I don't ever recall not having the restroom in a park.

A simple call to the Dept of Health should solve the problem. I expect the law requires them.I been at campgrounds where they turned off all the water and locked the bathrooms for repairs. health laws required they provide porta potties and wash stations or face penalties and fines.

Common state Laws do not require washroom facilities in rv parks in which all sites are served with waste water dumps. Were you in a park that was not an all full hook up camp?

We camped in Valdez that had full hookups, but, absolutely no other facilities. Located right downtown, so it was fine with us.

Yes. We camp host at Point Lookout SP in Maryland. They have 5 different campgrounds, Tulip Loop, which is FHU with NO FACILITIES. It does state it on their website as well as at the entrance to the campground. They have facilities in the other campgrounds.

Been to many that are only full hookup facilities...some have a bathroom but a lot don't...of the ones that do they are usually in the office but most only have the toilet facilities with no showers...

I suspect the pee burn marks around the trees in these places would be rampet... You gotta do what you gotta do....

You can probably thank the folks who abuse the facilities. I've been to a few parks with no public restrooms, or available only for an extra charge. Many people tend to treat public facilities poorly and the owners just get tired of cleaning up after them.

Since we are not self contained (hard to have a bathroom in a teardrop trailer) it would be a deal breaker for us. We did run into a KOA in Reno that only had 1 bathroom open after the office closed at a ridiculously early time. That clogged early on and...
I have seen one camp ground where they said you must be self contained!
