What part of I DON'T WANT JUNK MAIL do you NOT Understand?

On my membership, I have requested to be "opted out" of all mailings. I only want my renewal and my magazine (I believe I am getting the magazine online, have to check this).

So..... why does Good Sam feel that it's ok to let Camping World send me a catalog? I consider the Camping World Catalog to be JUNK MAIL.

I'm aware that Good Sam and Camping World are the same company. I'm aware that discounts at Camping World are a "benefit." I do not participate in this "benefit" (discounts) because:

1. I don't buy at Camping World all that much, there isn't one close to where I live.

2. I know that if I "participate" I will get junk mailed. It would be nice if I could get my "discount" without getting junk mailed.

When I called Good Sam Customer Service to complain, the customer service rep said "We don't have a way of knowing you DON'T want a 'benefit'."

Um, yes you did. I specifically requested "opt out" to ANY AND ALL MAILINGS (other than dues renewal) and I was promised that I was opted out. Yet SOMEHOW you "allowed" Camping World to send me a catalog. I do not consider that to be "honoring my request for opt out."

I contacted Camping World and was promised that my name was removed (not just marked "no mail" but actually REMOVED) from their data base. But it's only a matter of time before my name finds it's way back to their database because you will pass it on to them, despite my requests for "OPT OUT."

I do not consider this "resolved." I want Good Sam to implement a process to ensure that when a member says "I want opted out of all mailings" (except magazine and dues renewal) that a member will actually BE opted out, and not get catalogs from Camping World or get mailings on Good Sam Insurance.

I have a computer, if I need something, I will come to the website and check it out. I don't need MAILINGS to remind me of stuff.

I am not willing to "hear" that "you have forwarded my request to someone." I am only willing to "hear" that:

YOU ARE GOING TO IMPLEMENT A PROCESS TO ENSURE CUSTOMERS DON'T GET MAILED WHEN THEY DON'T WANT MAILED.
